Although the number of people dying from HIV-related conditions is decreasing dramatically each year, as yet there is still no cure for HIV and new statistics show that more people are becoming infected with the virus every month.

Even though new treatment options and combination therapies have transformed both quality of life and life expectancy, living with the ongoing uncertainty and day-to-day pressure of a serious and potentially life-threatening infection is still one of the most difficult experiences imaginable.

Sadly, misunderstanding, discrimination and fear continue to persist - affecting all areas of life for those affected by HIV, from relationships, finance and employment to holidays, mobility, insurance, home ownership and travel.

We believe that by raising awareness with effective training and education programmes and providing needs led services, we can help counter misunderstanding and lighten the burden of prejudice experienced by people affected by HIV, contributing directly to well-being and quality of life.
